AN RV
With ample outdoor spaces to be enjoyed, Central Washington is the perfect destination for a road trip in your RV or camper. When you arrive in town, please keep these tips in mind while parking:
- In a parking lot, always park your RV in an appropriate-sized space. Leave those long parking spaces for motorhomes, fifth wheels, and travel trailers.
- Before you go, make sure you are familiar with the rules of your destination. All campgrounds and RV resorts will have a list of rules for everyone’s comfort. If you can, read them online before you head out to help avoid any surprises when you get there.
- Once you’ve reached your campsite or final destination, always get out and survey the area before pulling into your parking spot. When you book a specific site, you usually know how large the site is and what size RV it can accommodate, but it doesn’t hurt to check for yourself before pulling in.
- Always use a spotter to help direct and guide you while parking. No matter how confident you are, things will go a lot smoother with extra eyes watching.
More RV Etiquette:
- Respect quiet hours, which typically take effect between 10 PM and 8 AM. Be respectful, turn your music down, and keep noise at a minimum.
- Be respectful of each other’s space by not overflowing your RV camping site into your neighbor’s.
- While most campsites are pet-friendly, it is typically required that pets still be leashed and under your control at all times. This is for the safety of your pet and other campers.
- Follow Leave No Trace principles and double-check that all your trash is picked up before you pull out.
